madeofmango helps UK landlords find, compare and book valuations with letting agencies inside ChatGPT and Claude, and lets letting agencies manage a paid PRO account at https://madeofmango.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. The data controller is madeofmango, operated by madeofmango technology, Suite 608, 26 Cheering Lane, East Village, Stratford, London, E20 1BD. Contact: support@madeofmango.com.
What we collect
- Landlords booking a valuation: your name, email, phone (optional), the property's postcode/address, type, bedrooms, whether it's vacant or tenanted, preferred times, any note you add, your language, and a record of your consent to share these with the agencies you chose. Nothing else. You don't need an account; we verify your email with a one-time code.
- Letting agency users: your work email, the agency you represent, your acceptance of the PRO terms (including your own words and the time), and billing details (legal name, billing email, address, VAT number).
- Searches: the location and filters you search with. We don't link searches to you.
- Chats: messages are processed to answer you (see “About Meta” below). We don't store chat transcripts on our servers. In ChatGPT or Claude, your conversation is held by that service under its own policy; on https://madeofmango.com the conversation is kept only in your browser tab (session storage).
- Agency data: agency and branch information comes from public sources: today OpenStreetMap (names, addresses and locations) and agencies' own websites. Each fact keeps its source and date. Contains OpenStreetMap data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence.
How we use it
- To send your valuation request to the agencies you chose, and to tell you when they reply (contract / your request).
- To verify agency staff, run PRO accounts and send monthly invoices (contract, legal obligation for invoices).
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse, e.g. rate limits (legitimate interests).
We never sell personal data, never show advertising, and never use your data for paid placement — ranking is purely data-driven.
Who we share it with
- The letting agencies you choose for a valuation — only after you explicitly agree.
- Service providers that process data for us: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email), Meta (the Muse Spark AI model that answers chats on https://madeofmango.com and translates landlords' notes), and postcodes.io (postcode lookups — postcodes only).
- About Meta: we use Meta's Muse Spark 1.3 Contributor tier. Under its terms, Meta may use the content we send it — chat messages on https://madeofmango.com, and the text of landlords' valuation notes we translate — to improve its products. Please don't put information in those messages that you don't want shared this way. Searches and bookings made inside ChatGPT or Claude are answered by those assistants, not by Meta.
How long we keep it
- Valuation requests and related messages: 24 months, then deleted.
- Verification codes: 15 minutes. Sign-in sessions: up to 30 days.
- PRO account, accepted terms and invoices: for the account's life plus 6 years (UK accounting rules).
Cookies
https://madeofmango.com uses one essential cookie (mm_sid) to keep your chat session and sign-in. No analytics or advertising cookies.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to processing, or restrict it. Email support@madeofmango.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Corrections and removal
Agencies can ask us to correct or remove their listing for free, by emailing support@madeofmango.com or saying so in the chat at https://madeofmango.com. A PRO account is not needed. We don't promise a response time.
